Solone and Stella Review + Makeup Tutorial

Solone offers a wide rage of cosmetics and beauty products while Stella offers a wide range of designs of eyelashes.

A month or two back, I was invited down to their showroom at AMK. Telling the truth, I have ever seen so many eyelashes designs in one showroom. The rage of eyelash was pretty impressive.

The cosmetics are from Solone, only the lash is from Stella.

From Solone, we have the Super Jumdo Liquid Eyeliner, Magic Tip Liquid Gel Liner, Magic Waterproof Eye pencil, Gel Like Smoody Pencil (the one in the red pink product box).

Here is something fun, the makeup remover pencil. It helps in corrections for the eye makeup. If you are the careless type this pencil is totally for you.

The Jumbo Liquid Eyeliner is use to achieve the Kpop cat eyes. Draw a thick black line close to the upper eyelids and darken it. End with a wing on the outside of your eyes.

The waterproof eye pencil liner "dries" really quickly. Count to 5 and it will not smudge no matter how much you rub. Test it for yourself if you don't believe me.

The Gel Smoody pencil can work as a coloured eyeliner pencil or an eyeshadow. 

To use as an eyeshadow, draw a good amount on desired area and smudge out using the round sponge tip at the other end of the pencil. You will have to be quick when applying as it dries really quickly and is very waterproof.

Coming to the transformation part..

Stella fashion eyelashes are handmade, gives good comfort and is not too heavy to wear. Directions for wearing are stated very clearly at the back of the product box. This pair in the picture above is a triple layer lash. No matter how I pull it, it does not go out of shape. Funny things I do to test the lash.

Some thing special here is the paper lash that they carry.

Paper lashes are great fun for performances and professional photo shooting.

They are not hard to put on but it does takes abit of experience and playing with to get it right.

It doesn't break easily either, nor does it go out of shape.

I did a very simple day look with Solone's waterproof eye pencil and smoody pencil.

Here is how I did it, start with a thin layer of base and foundation. Followed by lose powder. Moving on to the eyes, line the area near the eyelids with Gel like Smoody Pencil, smudge it out and blend well. This will act as eyeshadow base. Blend in some light brown eyeshadow in the middle of your eyelids, this well make your eyes more 3D. Draw a thin line on the inside of your upper eyelids with Solone's Magic waterproof eyeliner. Finish off with some lipstick and lip gloss.

You can see the brown eyeshadow and the eyeliner. 

I kept the lips nude as this will keep the focus on the eyes.

Moving on the the night look.

I chose to rock the party look as all is needed is the adding on of more eyeliner and a pair of eyelash from the day look. Let's say you are working in the day time and will have to go off to an event at night, you can opt to do this makeup.

In this look, I use the Super Jumbo Liquid Eyeliner to do a kpop style cat eye on top of my eyeshadow.

I did the cateye darker than normal and shorten the wing end to give it a more tame look.

The lashes made everything easier, just glue them on and I am ready to run.  

 Oh! I forgot to mention what I did for my lips. I apply red lip liner, followed with Canmake's Whip Mousse shade 01. Now, I am ready to run.

Canmake Cheek Blush and Whip Mousse Lip review

Canmake released a couple of new products and I will be sharing them with you. As you may have noticed, I am stepping out of my comfort zone and is starting to write cosmetic reviews.

 

A little background picture, Canmake is a Japanese cosmetic brand that has been around for more than 15 years. The brand itself is known for being cute and dolly.

I personally find that the products help me to create romantic and soft looks for day and night use.

 

 

New releases include Canmake Whip Mousse Lip in 3 shades, Canmake Cream Cheek Blush in 3 new bold shades and Long &Volume Mascara.

 

 

Let's start with the cream blush first. You may be thinking that the colour is simply crazy as they are all so bright.

 

 

Here is a clearer view of what the colour of the blusher. Hot, yeah?

When I first saw it, I was wondering how do I use such colours but after testing them, I realise that the colour is really mild. Don't believe me? Look below.

 

 

I apply two layer of blush on my inner wrist and it turn out so light.

If you are afraid that you can not control the blush, I suggest you apply with a light hand on the roses of your cheek. Then blend it out lightly. Finally, apply lost powder over the area where you applied cream blush. This will give you a natural glow.

 

Next up, we have the Long & Volume Mascara.

This mascara is a non-waterproof mascara so only use it for indoors.

If you want to be a genus, go swimming in it. :P

 

 

One good thing about non-waterproof mascara is that you can remove your makeup really quickly and you do not have to use a eye makeup remover. Saves you money, in a way to say.

What I personally like about this mascara is that it is easy to apply. One coat is enough to give me thick and dark lashes. Plus point is that it doesn't clamp my lashes together.

 

 

The highlight of this whole review is Canmake's Whip Mousse Lip Cream.

It is very similar to NYX's cream soft matte lip cream but I feel Canmake's Whip Mousse lip cream is better.

 

Reason why Canmake's is better is simple. Canmake's has a better texture and can last much longer than NYX's. Very easy to apply and it gives you a velvet matte finish. I personally like matte products over gloss or glitter products and so my vote goes to lip creams.

Canmake's Whip Mousse Lip can also be used as a blusher. Apply using the method I mention adove and you will get a "nude" effect.

 

 

I did a simple everyday look with the Whip Mousse Lip in shade 03 and Cream Blush in shade CL02.

The blush looks really natural and light, you won't even notice that I have blush on if I didn't mention it.

 

 

 Another look without the blush but with mascara on this time. Using Whip Mousse Lip in shade 03 again. This look will be suitable for going for classes or having tea with friends.

2B Alternative Into Arm and Body review

A couple of months back, 2B Alternative sent me their Into Arm and Body slimming lotion. This is my 3rd review for 2B Alternative.  I enjoyed working with them and will continue to. (: 

On the product, 2B Alternative Into Arms and Body is best used on arms and the tummy. Our arms is the hardest place to loss fats. Mostly, we will loss great amount of fats from the thighs and butt when we diet. Never from the arms so we end up with unproportionate body rations which is really ugly. This is when 2B Alternative Into Arms and Body comes into place.

Like the name suggest, it is specially formulated to slim the arms. Now, you can forget about all the arm toning exercises that everyone in history has came up with, just apply this cream and you will get toned arms. 

How it works

This formula is formulated in a way that it burns your fat. On my first application, it burned like crazy from the outside in and I did dance right after applying it making the burning more intensively. The burning lasted an hour each time I apply.

As the days go by, the burning no longer felt so strong and I kind of got use to the burning sensation. In fact, I started liking the burning sensation. I will suggest doing sports after applying as this will speed up your metabolism and result in better effects. You may also want to put on arm slimming guards after applying as this will triple the effects. 

I didn't get any rash or redness after application. I was impressed that a tube could last me 2.5 weeks as I apply on my arms and tummy and so I thought that it will run out really fast but the two tubes lasted me a month plus. I applied a great big drop on each arms, after shower each day.

The product smells like mild mint. I personally love the smell of it as it calms my mind.

Effects can be seen after 2 weeks of use. I lost about an inch in 2 weeks time. By the end of the whole treatment, I lost about 3 inches on each arm. I am really happy with the results.

Audrey Christian Review

I meet up with the founder of Audrey Christian a couple of months back and she introduced me to two of their products. The first she introduced to me was Push Up. The second was Venetrim. The names of this two products may puzzle you and make you wonder what this two creams does.

 

Let's cover on the brand itself first. Audrey Christian is a natural skin care line from Norway. The brand believe that the skin should only be maintained with the best and most premium ingredients. It's products are design to maintain and regain our skin's youthfulness and protect its elasticity and protein matrix.

 

At this point, if you are young, you may be thinking "Why do I need this?"

The answer is simple we all will grow old one day so it is better to start maintenance now.

 

 

Here's the first product Audrey introduce to me, the Push Up cream.

Lovely pink packaging, it doesn't come in a cardboard product box. Audrey explain that they do not package that products boxes because it is not environmentally friendly. I love the go green concept.

 

Let me explain what Push Up does. Push Up is a Breast, Neck and Tummy cream. It is design to firm and perk up ladies' breasts. Interestingly, it is suitable for younger ladies because it helps in maintaining healthy, perky and tightens breast.

 

 

A different way of sealing product, see the flap there, just pull it off.

 

 

The Cream itself is light and easy absorb. The smell of it is light and reminds me of a cottage home that is comfortable and relaxing. As the name suggest, it pushes up the breasts and becomes your solution to correct sagging breast. Push Up also help in recovering the fullness and turgidity of breast.

 

If you are a mum and have been wondering how you can remove those stretch marks on your tummy that being pregnant have caused you, Push Up works well too as it tightens the skin and removes stretch marks.

 

 

This is the second product that Audrey introduced me to, The Venetrim cream.

Venetrim is a vein reducing cream. I do dance and run around in heals so my feet isn't that pretty, you can see a bit of veins here and there and I hate seeing those veins. I was so happy when Audrey introduce this Venetrim cream to me, come on, who wants veins to popping out of their feet. If you are a lady, you won't want.

 

Venetrim can help remove Varicose Veins, Spider Veins and Venous Insufficiency. Not only can it be used on feet and legs, it can also be use on hands. It takes (for hands) 2 to 3 days for results to show, (for feet and leg) 1 to 2 weeks or more depending on how bad your vein condition is.

 

For myself, my hand showed results in 2 days and feet in a week. The cream for Venetrim is light and gives a mild mint smell. When applied, it feels cooling and refreshing. Might be a little sticky if you apply a large drop at a go, I will advise that you go light hand on it. The results are great and I love Venetrim.
